How SLVR handles care data

SLVR helps families and care networks coordinate information about a care recipient. This policy explains the data we collect, how we use it, how account deletion works, and what data may be retained when privacy, safety, legal, or operational requirements apply.
This policy applies to the SLVR mobile app, the SLVR care web app, and the public SLVR website. If your care organization has a separate agreement with SLVR, that agreement may include additional terms for organization-managed data.
Information we collect
- Account and contact information, such as name, email address, phone number, timezone, profile photo, and sign-in identifiers.
- Care-circle information that users provide, such as posts, comments, documents, medication details, doctors, emergency contacts, care events, invites, and related media.
- Support, safety, security, and audit records needed to operate the service, protect users, investigate abuse, and meet legal or regulatory obligations.
- Device and notification information needed to authenticate sessions, send requested notifications, and maintain service reliability.
- Phone numbers entered for accounts, care recipients, doctors, and emergency contacts. SLVR currently uses these numbers for contact records and tap-to-call workflows, not recurring SMS text messaging.
- Billing records for web-based purchases or subscriptions. The SLVR mobile app does not sell digital goods, process in-app purchases, or direct users to a mobile checkout.
How we use information
We use information to create and secure accounts, coordinate care circles, store user-provided care records, send requested notifications, provide support, prevent abuse, maintain audit logs, and comply with legal obligations.
We do not sell personal information. We use service providers for hosting, authentication, notifications, email, storage, support, analytics, and billing, and we expect those providers to process data only for SLVR service purposes.
SLVR currently sends service communications through email, push notifications, and in-app notifications. We do not currently send recurring SMS text messages. If SLVR enables SMS in the future, we will request required consent, explain message purpose and frequency, and use SMS providers only to deliver and manage those messages.
Account deletion and retention
Users can request account deletion in the mobile app from Profile or Settings. SLVR usually completes eligible deletion requests within 30 days and sends confirmation when fulfillment is complete. Some requests require additional action first, such as transferring care-circle ownership or deleting a care circle where the requester is the last owner.
Deleted
Unlinked uploaded media, notification preferences, verification tokens, onboarding drafts, invites, push tokens, and other account-scoped operational data are removed when the deletion request is fulfilled.
Anonymized
The user account row is converted to a deleted-user record. Name, email, contact, address, profile photo, authentication, push, and trial fields are cleared or replaced with non-contact identifiers.
Retained without account identifiers
Shared care-circle records, safety reports, audit logs, and billing records may remain when needed for care-circle continuity, privacy, safety, security, accounting, or legal retention. These records no longer contain the deleted user's active account identity.
Blocked until ownership is resolved
If the requesting user is the last owner of an active care circle, SLVR asks them to transfer ownership or delete the circle before account deletion is completed.
Audit, safety, security, and legal records may be retained for at least six years where health, privacy, security, or compliance obligations require it. Safety reports may be retained to investigate abuse, privacy, security, or user-safety concerns. Accounting and billing records may be retained for the period required by tax, payment, and financial-record rules. Shared care-circle content may remain available to the care circle without the deleted user's active account identity when retention is needed for care continuity, safety, or legal reasons.
Your choices
You can update profile information in the app, manage notifications, leave care circles, transfer ownership where available, or request account deletion. You can also use the public account deletion page if you cannot access the app.
